Celebration April 23

Year End Celebration Dinner – We will be calling in our counts for dinner to Troy deli Wednesday, so please make sure your small group turns in the signup sheet tonight.  Any money collected tonight can be put in the attached envelope and should also be turned in.  If someone wants dinner but does not have money to pay tonight, still sign up tonight and just bring payment next week.  The cost for dinner is $10, but don’t feel you need to get dinner to come!

Spring Serve / Spring Clean – If you didn’t get a flyer last week listing off the ministries we will be collecting items for next week, there will be extras available in the room 212 during large group teaching.  You can also download a copy here:

Next week, if you are bringing donations plan on coming a little early to drop off your donations in our drive thru as you arrive.  Then head upstairs to room 212 and find your small group.  We will be starting at 7:10pm sharp with a performance from Magic Carpet Theatre that you don’t want to miss!

Making Insights Happen - Pizza Party

If you are interested in learning about ways you can help make Insights happen next year, please come to the pizza party next week.  This does not necessarily mean you would need to be a small group leader, though we can always use more apprentices.  ;)  There are other things behind the scenes that need to be taken care of that you may be able to assist with.  This is a no commitment get together.  Just come and see where God may lead you to step out and help at Insights.  Current small group leaders and those helping in other areas are encouraged to come also.  Wouldn’t it be great if so many people RSVP that we need to move to a larger room?  RSVP to [email protected]

Spring Serve / Spring Clean

The night of our celebration, April 23, we will be giving you an opportunity to assist some of the ladies in Insights with the ministries they have been helping out.  Attached (charities.pdf above) is a list of ministries along with a sample list of things we will be collecting.  The web site for each ministry is listed where you can go to learn more and the Insights member sponsoring the ministry is also listed if you have questions.

You can bring the items you want to donate or you can write a check to any of these ministries.  The collection for most things will take place in the parking lot before you come up to the celebration.  Look for the cars/vans with signs on them and trunks open.  Drive by and drop off your goodies.  Then head up stairs for the celebration. 

Each ministry will be introduced that night along with the person sponsoring the ministry.  If you want to get further involved, you can talk with the sponsor about more serving opportunities.  Maybe coordinate a time with them where you can serve together!

We will also be having a special drama presentation by the ministry Magic Carpet Theatre after dinner. This is one of the ministries you can donate to that night also.

All ministries list who to make a check out to if they accept money.  Checks can be considered your receipt for tax purposes.

Dinner

At our last Insights of the year, we will be having a celebration in the room we usually have our teaching in for the entire 2 hours.  We include dinner with this celebration.  To make things easier for everyone coming from work or other places, we have catered in dinner.  This year we will be getting that from Troy Deli.  We are getting their boxed lunch option which contains one of their fabulous sandwiches, one salad of various types, bag of gourmet chips, home baked cookie, and drink.  The cost will be $10 per person.  You do not have to buy dinner to come to the celebration.  However, if cost is the issue, please still check yes for Buying Dinner and let your small group leader or Elspeth know.  We are able to cover a few extras as needed.

If you have any dietary constraints like vegetarian or gluten free, please note that next to your name.  They will do their best to accommodate.  Gluten free will get a lettuce wrap sandwich.

If you don’t have the money with you tonight, you can sign up and just bring payment next week.  If you have money with you tonight, please place it in the envelope.  Checks can be made out to Kensington Church with Insights Celebration in the memo line.
